We’re still catching our breath after the craziness of 2020! With everything that happened last year you probably didn’t keep up-to-date on all things Noteworthy Cards, so below we’ve put together some highlights from 2020.

WE LAUNCHED THE VIRAL COLLECTION

April 5 – Knowing that a good laugh helps us get through hard times, we launched a range of tongue-in-cheek greeting cards called the Viral Collection. It comprised four amusing cards to help people connect with friends and family while social distancing requirements kept us apart.

With the world facing a terrible crisis, it was twice as important for social enterprises such as Noteworthy Cards to continue doing life-changing work for people suffering in poverty. Our passion for helping people in need resonated with many people—with an article published in The Advertiser, a radio interview with Tony Pilkington on FiveAA, and promotion on Adelady’s social media channels—contributing to our best ever month of sales!

WE REFRESHED THE FREEDOM COLLECTION

August 27 – In 2018 we launched Noteworthy Cards with one range of cards—the Freedom Collection. In 2020 we decided it was time to give those cards a stylish new look, so we selected the most popular cards from the range and refreshed them with a gorgeous watercolour style. A few days later we reached the milestone of selling our 5,000th greeting card!

WE LAUNCHED THE ATANASOV COLLECTION

September 20 – In the lead up to World Animal Day we unveiled a new range of cards featuring photorealistic pencil drawings of some of the world’s most impressive animals: an ape, an elephant, a giraffe, a lion, a sloth and a tiger. These greeting cards—illustrated by the talented Krys Atanasov—can be used for any occasion, and they’re perfect for animal lovers!

WE LAUNCHED THE MELLEN COLLECTION

November 14 – We don’t know if it’s been done elsewhere, but we were excited to launch a range of colouring in greeting cards for kids! The Mellen Collection features a robot, a monster and a variety of animals illustrated by the creative Phil Mellen. The black and white illustrations are full of personality, and they can be coloured in before they’re used for birthdays, Christmas and other celebrations.

WE CONNECTED WITH OTHER SOCIAL ENTERPRISES

In 2020 we were listed on a number of social enterprise websites:

It was great for Noteworthy Cards to gain more exposure through these website listings. If you know of any other websites where we could be added, please let us know!

WE MADE A DIFFERENCE FOR PEOPLE IN NEED

We continued to donate 100% of our profits to fund life-changing gifts for people suffering in poverty. In 2020 we sold 1,547 cards and funded $1,655 worth of Useful Gifts through Tearfund. These gifts are supporting community, education, food and livelihoods, good health, safe water and sanitation in multiple countries around the world.

We partner with Tearfund because we love the way they facilitate long-term development projects with local communities, helping them gain the skills and resources they need to address local problems and come up with sustainable solutions.

THANK YOU!

We’re so thankful for everyone who’s chosen to purchase our poverty-fighting greeting cards. Your ethical choices are changing the lives of people in need, and making the world a better place. We hope you’ll continue using our greeting cards, and tell others about us too, so we can grow our impact in the years ahead.
